I'm trying to decide if I want a tandem or side by side stroller. The side by sides are nice for when they get older, but they seem like they wouldn't fit everywhere.
I have a tandem stroller and I love it... it is great to go shopping with. It is long but I don't have to worry about the width. I think when they get older I may end up getting a side by side umbrella stroller if I can get a good deal but I really like my Graco!
SBS. We have the tandem DSNG now and I just find it awkward how it goes so far out in front of me; it's like pushing a bus. I also think it's getting harder to steer as they get heavier. We just got our City Mini Double today and it's so easy to push and steers like a dream!
Oh and you can get Graco Duogliders pretty cheap on craigslist if you want to do what Goldie said and have one of each. I think that's smart. A friend offered to loan me her Graco tandem since she only has one stroller-age child now and isn't ttc again for a while.
We are looking at the side by side Bumbleride Indie Twin. It only holds one car seats however I emailed the company and they said that it is designed for 2 infants using the Snuzzler from Kiddopotamus. It is also holds 2 carrycots which are similar to the bassinet feature that the Buggaboo has...just not as big. I have read great things about the stroller and it looks like the way to go. One stroller that will grow with the twins!
Re: Tandem or Side by Side Stroller?
both. If you can't afford both new- you can always find great deals on craigslist or consignment stores and yard sales.
it's handy to have different types of strollers for different occasions.
