Question about the Contours Options Tandem Stroller

We registered for the Contours Options Tandem Stroller. I was talking to my friend has this stroller for her 2 girls (different ages), and she said that the only downside is that you have to take both seats off every time you fold it up.

Do you know if this is true? seems like it would be a big pain to have to do that every time...

TIA

Re: Question about the Contours Options Tandem Stroller

  • I've heard that you have to take one off, but in a pic I saw it looks super long with the other still on, so maybe she has to take it off to get it in her car.
  • I have the stroller and I do take both seats off every time. I believe some can leave one seat on (I can't remember if it's the front or back one though). However, I don't take the car seat adapters off every time. It folds up okay without needing to take those off.

  • You are supposed to take them off each time.  I don't know how the pp folds hers without taking the carseat adapters off.  I need mine to fold up as tight as possible because I have a little car and that would never work without taking them off.

  • I fold mine up with the car seat adapters on as well. I just fold the adapters up. I'm not sure about the seats yet but I'm pretty sure my FIL folded it up with both and put it in his car
  • I've always only taken one seat off and it doesn't matter which one. I lay the seat I took off on top of the folded up stroller  because the seats lay flat once removed. I can fit the whole thing in the trunk of my toyota carolla no problem. And it only takes a second to take the seat off and put it back on. I was a little leary of this too, but it has not at all been an inconvenience.

I love love love this stroller. The babies seem to really love it too. They like to face each other and play footsie when we're out strolling around. It's really cute...:) And I love all the space they have and that you can recline the seats almost flat if one of them is sleeping. And it's easier to steer than any other stroller I tried.
