bottle temp

in hospital DD drank room temp formula, now we are putting formula in fridge and were warming it to room temp. DH got lazy and started feeding her cold formula and she seems fine, is there a reason to warm the formula if we aren't having problems?

Re: bottle temp

  • My DD takes bottles of expressed milk straight from the fridge or room temperature...and when she nurses, it's warm (obviously). She really doesn't seem to care how she gets it.

If she takes it cold, then go with it. It will make your life easier.

  • The only reason to warm it is because some babies prefer warm milk.  I do room temperature water from day one.  Well it could be a little cooler because it comes from the room temp side of my water cooler.  She does fine with it so it will make things easier when we are out and about and can't warm water.
