Tell me about heat rash, please

Have any of your DCs had heat rash? If so, what did it look like? How long did it last? What did you use on it?

Almost a week ago - on the first really hot day we had here - DD came home from the park with a bumpy red rash all over her core and on the upper part of her arms and legs.  Over the next couple of days the rash faded, but her skin is still rough where the rash was.  It almost feels like  eczema.   It doesn't seem to bother her at all, but I'm still concerned. 

Does this sound like heat rash?  I can't think of what else it could possibly be!

    It sounds like heat rash to me.  DD gets it at the drop of a hat.  I dress her in really light clothing and crank the a/c if we're going for a long car ride because she gets really hot in the carseat.  If it was eczema it would probably be itchy and noticeably bothering her.
