Need info on Anderson SC

My Mom, Dad, Sis, and Sis and BIL are all moving to Anderson. Anyone live there  or near there? How is the area? How are the schools? Do you like it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! TIA

    I just noticed this board so I'm sorry for answering this late.  Anderson is a small town and definitely feels that way.  It does have a lot to offer considering its size though.  It's about 25 min away from Greenville which is a larger city.  It has a cute downtown area and offers a lot of shopping and dining.  Schools are ok.  I suggest Anderson District 5.  Page me if you need anything else.

    Sorry I'm just looking at this board too..I live here in Anderson and it's ok it really depends what area you live in. My husband grew up here his whole life and loves it. I like it too, but you have to be careful if you're out alone in certain areas but I guess that's true with anywhere you live. I also suggest school district 5. Matty's resturaunt in downtown is really good too!
