I've been using my skip hop dash since dd was 11m/o. dc are 19 m apart and I just continued to use it. I did bf, so I never/rarely packed bottles for ds. I've gotten other diaper bags since... I just keep coming back to the skip hop. it's my fav.
We had the Columbia backpack style for DS, but there was no way it was going to hold everything for him AND a newborn, so we got this one, but in pink. It's worked out well for the last 2 months. It's Carters, & I got it at BRU for about $40-$50.
I can't recommend a specific brand, but what finally worked for me was finding a diaper bag that was seperated into two different sections. I needed to keep their diapers seperate so that I wasn't trying to squeeze DD's big butt into a size 2 diaper because I didn't look at what size I grabbed.
At the beginning I used the Fleurville Mothership bag. It has tons of room and I have received lots of compliments on it.
Now I have been using my Petunia Picklebottom Boxy Backpack. This one has been super helpful because I can wear it as a backpack which lets me have both hands free or over my shoulder with a longer strap. And I also have stroller clips for it so it hooks right onto my double. Versatile!
Yes, both of these are pretty expensive bags but I got both for under $50 on discount websites on line. :-)
I adore my Fluerville Mothership. It stands up easily without falling over when open. It has loads of compartments and plenty of room for my wallet, sunglasses, cell phone and all. It wipes off easily too.
I found mine on Ebay from a mom who decided she wanted a different bag. It was used just a handful of times and I got it for $70. I have the Blue Sky Floral print.
