Canola oil for baking? Did i ruin these cupcakes?

I had to use canola oil for half the cupcakes I'm making for the party tomorrow. They taste "different" to me. Not necessarily bad, but I feel like the canola taste is really obvious. Am I just being crazy?

Isn't canola oil vegetable oil?  Damn, if no because I bought some from TJs the other day thinking they were the same thing.

I made cupcakes with sunflower oil the other day and they were definitely different.

I'm sure they are fine! I often use canola oil or crisco since Gina can't have butter.

Just add icing- no one will notice

I've always used vegetable oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, canola, etc. interchangeably.

Canola oil is pretty neutral. I'm sure they are fine!
