Just wondering if maybe the pill I'm on is too "light"?
I'm still BF our 8 month old so Dr. got me on a lower dosage pill (something like a step above the mini pill). I started 2 months ago, but about two weeks after I start it, I get my period. So I don't finish the package and wait for the following Sunday to start again.
Is my body just slowly getting used to it? Should I get a different one? Does it have to do with breastfeeding or recent delivery? (I didn't get on it after our firstborn)
Does it mean it might not be as effective and we should use additional means of contraception?
Thanks

You need to continue taking the pill through the period that shouldn't have come, just keep taking it and hopefully your body will adjust. Sometimes it does take a month or two for your body to adjust. If you are still bleeding every two weeks after taking the pills as directed then talk to your OB/GYN about changing brands.
