My brother is back in the hospital. And a vent.

A quick recap:  he's 18 and was recently diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called Wegener's Granulomatosis.  He was in the hospital all last week and was released last Thursday.  I was there most of the time with them.  They live in Tx, I'm in AZ. 

Its nothing major, I don't think.  At least thats what my mom keeps telling me.  Of course, he may have a blood clot in his lung, thats all.  I know she's trying to keep me from worrying too much, but I can't help it.

I just wish I could at least be there with them.  When I was there, I was at least comforted by seeing him and being able to talk to his docs myself.  Being 2 states away and having my mother as a filter, I just feel ill-informed and it makes me worry even more.

I know the next few months as he goes through treatment is going to be full of ups and downs, but these sorts of downs are tough.  And being an emotional pregnant woman doesn't help.

That must be so hard. I know what you mean, I hate not hearing medical updates straight from the docs.  Hang in there - I'll be praying for your brother.
