We have our boy name decided on but can't decide on a girl name (just like we did w/ DD before we knew she was a girl, except it's a different name this time).

I think Ashley should have been retired a looong time ago, although it is a nice name. I really dislike Elise. I know this is dumb, but it reminds me of the Family Ties mom, so I think of an older person even though I'm probably her age now!! I think Julia and Mia are pretty.

Definitely Elise! I love it. Julia is ok. Ashley is dated. Allie is a nn to me, and I don't like it as a stand alone name. The rest are just nms.

My favorite is Julia. I also love Elise and Carolyn. Ashley is nice too. I really don't like Allie. It's a nn to me. Mia is ok. I hate Sydney. It just doesn't sound pretty to me.?

I like Julia and Allie.  I accidentally gave Allie a thumbs down, though!   Whoops!  I don't really like Mia or Sydney.  Elise I like, but it's not my favorite on your list.

If popularity is an issue for you I think Allie is quickly becoming a popular name.  My cousin's newborn is Allie and then last week another friend had a baby girl she named Allie.  Might just be a coincidence, though.
