Yeah,,it is a regular pack n play with twin bassinets...I am only going to use it for a feeding-napping station near my kitchen when I am on the 2nd floor. We have three floors and I am setting up a baby area on each floor. It is green. Nothing to really get excited about, but I was scared to go without it. I have heard bad and good reviews, so we shall see.
Yeah, I've heard mixed reviews on the twin PnP too. We went with the Arm's Reach Original Co-sleeper instead and I'm glad we did, because it has a 40-lb weight limit and the PnP bassinets only go up to 15 lbs. Since my boys were 25 lbs combined by 2 months, I would've been in trouble!
We did originally, and that worked well. Other twin moms I talked to also had both twins in the one cosleeper. They still fit in it fine, but we have them in their crib and use the cosleeper downstairs for some of their naps. (DH and I discovered we couldn't get any sleep having both boys in our room--awake too much, grunted a lot due to lots of gas in the early weeks, etc.--so we ended up moving them to their crib in the nursery fairly early on, and taking shifts with them, rather than the original plan of having them in the cosleeper in our room the first several months.)
Just realized it may be confusing that I say it worked well but we only did it briefly. I meant in terms of size and comfort and everything for the babies, it was fine! It was just the noise level from having them in our room that didn't work for us. Though I think if I had BFed longer, the cosleeper would have gotten a lot more use.
I just went with 2 packnplays one upstairs and one downstairs. Both babies slept in the basinette portion for about 8 weeks until they maxed out the weight limit on the top and then they slept in the bottom portion.
