Holy crap.

It goes by SSN # --- so I can call today, Friday or Saturday.

I have tried at least 10 times and every time, I get the "Due to a large # of calls, we are unable to answer your call at this time.  Please hang up and try again later."

HOLY EFF!  I seriously wonder if I'll ever get through!?!?!?

Can you do it online? I know when my dad had to do it, he went online and it was pretty easy.

MA doesn't have online availability.

It's either on the phone or in person.  UGH!

Yeah, it's a b!tch. I used to hold for 30-45 min. before they added that message and changed it to go by SSN.

I have never been able to get through by phone.  I do all my transactions online.  There should be a snail mail and/or fax number as well if you need to do it that way.

Our line opens at 7:30 am.  I called once at 7:29 to see if I could get in the first second and go the "we're not open" message.  Called back immediately and got the "due to high volume of calls, please call back later."

It's insane.

You will never get through via phone (I tried many times and that was a few years ago...before all this recent unemployment problems).  I had to contact my District's Representative (talked to his secretary).  They got the ball rolling for me.  You might have to leave a message but they DO call you back and you can explain the problem to them.  Worked for me!  GL

That stinks... just have to sit there all day and do redial?  Do you ever get a busy signal?  At least with my cell phone and a busy signal it will continue dialing for you.
