Anyone have fraternal twins with the same blood type? I have di-di twin boys (two placentas, two sacks) that look an awful lot alike. They have the same blood type (AB+). We're going to do the DNA test soon but I was wondering how common it is for fraternal twins to have the same blood type?
Re: Twins and blood type
My brother and I (3 years apart in age) have the same blood type and my parents don't. It's very common.
But I think the same blood type in twins who look similar are a great reason to test - good luck!?
The funny thing is I always thought I was A pos because both of my parents are A pos so I always assumed I was the same. What a shocker when I was in the hospital they told me I was O. I called my Mom and asked her if my Dad was really my Dad! So funny. It turns out that I got one of my Grandparents blood type.
One of your grandparents on each side must be O, since your parents are both AO which is how they passed O on to you. since O is the recessive gene.
