Canada Babies

XP from canada board

I'm a little worried.. Posted this on the local nestie board but am looking for as much insight as I can get. Please tell me you have good news for me!

Danica had her 4 month shots on Wednesday morning.

Her 2 month shots she handled just fine - very very sleepy, and a mild fever that started 12 hours after, and that fever lasted about 12 hours. Had a little bit of redness around one of the shot spots and it disappeared.

This time around, she wasn't as sleepy - the fever kicked in about 6 hours later and it's still up and down (it's now Friday night) - it's never been over 100 (37.8). When I give her tylenol, it goes down a bit (sometimes disappears). Same with Motrin (actually, the Motrin helped better than the tylenol did). Sometimes it went away on its own. She had some redness around one injection site and some mega bigtime redness around the other injection site (about an inch or so) - this has gone now. But it's the fever I'm worried about.

The fever came back today at 4:30pm! WTF? It was mild, 100, but still there. She also had some mild diarrhea (all over the wall, by the way). I gave her some tylenol to help her cope (and to help Mike - as I had to teach dance, and she was not a happy camper), and after some separation anxiety and screaming she fell asleep - when I got home 3 hours later, it was just under 99 (37.1) - which she can be on some evenings (with teething and such).

Yet, getting her ready for bed, I checked out of curiosity and it was back up to 37.8 (100). I didn't want to give her any more meds (she seems totally fine, is herself - alert and smiley, but a little more cranky).

Did anyone else's LO have a fever on and off for this long after shots? What should I do? Leave it? Call the doc? My mom says it's such a mild fever, and combined with the teething, it's probably going to settle soon.

I'm such a paranoid freak I don't know what to do. She feels a bit cooler than she was, but still lukewarm. (her temples are hot though, and yes, I know not a good checkpoint for fever, but I guess I love to freak out).

Anyone with advice? Anyone want to reassure me that their kids had a fever on and off for almost 3 days?

gah. i'm nuts.
