Just wanted to seriously thank all of you for your support, encouragement, and for keeping my sanity.  I remember my posts from the first couple of days and weeks and everyone kept saying it gets better.  I kept asking when, and finally somoene told me right around 6 weeks.  Well today DD is 6 weeks old and I really can't get over how much better things are.  It really just hit me.  I wouldn't say things are great, but we're kind of getting into the groove of things and she's developing a little personality. 

I didn't think I could be happier when she was first born, but then we came home and I seriously asked myself what were we thinking.  But life is good.  (even though she did already poop on my jeans, and throw up all over me and herself and it's only noon).

so thanks everyone.  I really appreciate all the laughs, entertainment, encouragement and support.  (And DH thanks everyone for keeping me sane throughout the day so I don't call him 20 times!)

I needed to hear this!!  My little guy is not even two weeks old and it feels like things will never get better.  Thanks for posting this!

I totally agree!  I was going insane and pulling my hair out for the first 6 weeks.  All of a sudden, at week 6-7 something clicked, and he's sleeping longer intervals, a lot less fussy, etc.

i agree! my dd was just 6 wks yesterday and it was really tough until may late last week. she could sleep a little longer at night...but i won't be picky. its really helpful to have the support from here!! we found a little groove too---and just in time for it to be interrupted by me going back to work fo 5 1/2 wks. i teach so i go back to my kindergartners until summer break...should be interesting!! but for sure--it gets a little easier every day as we both figure each other out!
