Back from NICU follow-up

This morning Sophie had her 6 month follow-up (from discharge date). They are very happy with her progress & agree with her Pedi. & P.T. that she is between 6-8 months on milestones!

YEA! They said she is a little behind in speech, but not enough to require speech therapy, and they feel within the next 3 months she will catch up. She was a champ through the whole evaluation, and they are very impressed with her weight gain, alertness, and playfullness. They would like her to see a neurologist along with the neurosurgeon, which she has an appt. for next week, to continue to monitor the fluid they saw in the past 2 head u/s. They feel we should still hold off on the jumparoo for now since she's not standing strongly yet. They want to monitor her height as well since she's a little bit under the curve compared to her weight, & head circumference. Unfortunately our genes are playing factors and they feel she inherited DH's big head, and both our family's short stature

It's ok, she will always be cute! Overall everything went well and they want to see her again in 6 months, so when she is 1 year old adjusted.
