Ok, looking at the bright side of things

If Maren is born Friday then she will be a May baby.  The birthstone for May is the emerald, which is my absolute favorite gemstone.  I also do not own any of them.  If she is born in May I would probably get something emerald related for Mother's day.  YAY!

Although, April is diamonds.  A girl can never have enough diamonds, right?

Emeralds or diamonds...I guess it is a win/win situation for me.

    That's funny.  Hurray for good jewelry!

    Sort of similar.... when we were expecting C and I was a day before my due date of 4/26, I had not progressed at all and my doc forced me to 1 cm.  My dh starts joking with the doc that he hopes that the baby is born in May so that he wouldn't have to have a diamond birthstone.  I politely informed him that emeralds are more often than not, more expensive and rare than diamonds so it wouldn't be a win either.

    This just gives her a little more time to come on her own...at the end of the week you should have a healthy, beautiful little girl.  THAT'S the bright side... :)

    I just jumped on to look for an update from you. No Maren today, I am assuming? I had my girls at the park, and kept checking my texts, hoping for one from you :)

    Emeralds are beautiful! As are diamonds. You can't go wrong!  LOL, I was so happy when Emi was born in Sept (sapphire) rather than Oct (ugly opal:)

    Ha, yes, nice jewels either way! DD was due 3 days after my own 30th bday, so even though I couldn't wait for her to get here, I wanted her to be as far apart from my own bday as possible so that she had her own day. Turned out she was 2 days late, so 5 days behind me.

    I know.  I keep trying to remind myself that patience is a virtue.  I was being silly about the jewlery.  Of course she is the bright side.  :)

    M- I was wait listed for Wednesday and on the schedule for Friday  for sure.
