Car Seat??

We leave for Florida wed, Gracyn has her own seat this year.Do I need to bring her car seat on the plane  or can she just sit in the seat,She is 2 1/2. Thanks

I dont bring ours on the plane, I gate check..she sitts bette rin a seat where she can move around more

I flew w/ dd for the 1st time when I was 27 wks pg and I was all by myself. She was 2 1/2. That being said I did not bring the carseat. I wouldn't have been able to cart all the stuff across the airport. She was an absolute rock star start to finish and slept on the plane for over 1/2 the flight. I did bring a dvd player and it was a lifesaver in the airport! GL!

When we took DD to Mexico - we just put her in the seat and she was fine. I called the airline (NWA) and they suggested no car seat because in case there was an emergency it would take longer to get her out. Just my .02 cents.

I did take a DVD player and she was fine and even fell asleep

As a car seat tech I always tell parents to take the car seat.  The child is so much safer in there car seat then they are in just the seat belt.  Children ride much better in their car seats.  I have never gone on a plane with out a carseat for my daughter (we started to fly at 2 mos old).
