Parenting after a Loss

Anyone sell Pampered Chef?

I purchased the large round baking stone with handles and just used it for the first time-- followed all the directions and about 5 minutes into baking french fries it cracked down the middle.

I bought it from someone at school who I don't know to call at home and I don't work until Wednesday, so I just wondered what the Pampered Chef policy is on something like this.  The website says to refer to the back of my reciept, but three of us went in on a purchase together and one of the other ladies has the reciept (hopefully) so I can't see what it says.

I'm so bummed:(.  Thankfully we have our old stone still, but I was excited about having one with handles!

  • I think you need the receipt....  maybe you can look up the nearest consultant and ask them.
  • Loading the player...
  • I would see what they can do.  There is a specific way you are supposed to cook on the stone without cracking it... so I hope they don't say it's user error.

Like I said, I followed the directions, but thanks for the help??

  • Sarcasm is so pleasant.

I just know that this has happened to many people I know and that there is some secret with it.  I don't know what it is to give you any more helpful advice.  I'm just saying that hopefully it isn't something you are supposed to do and then they won't replace it since it seems to be common.

  • Brooke, I don't know how PM's work-- if the nest alerts you or what-- but I wanted you to know I just sent you one.  And I promise it's not mean or rude or sarcastic!

  • Ok.  Does it come to your email?
  • I don't sell it anymore, but I think I can help. Just go to the website and you can find info on there about getting a replacement, I believe. You will need the info from the receipt, but you dont need the actual receipt. If you are able to call the person with the receipt and get the needed info from it, that will be fine. You can also call PC with that info rather than doing it online. I know you will get a replacement no problem. If it's been less than 30 days since you got it, you should be able to get it without paying return shipping on the one you have. They may not even want the broken one sent back. I'll see if I can find you the web page you might need to do the warranty thing.

Ok, so the online form I thought was there is something that I used for "Product Adjustment." It appears you just need to email or call the cust. service number.

TPC is VERY good about CS and returns. I got a stone once that had a little bit of the outside glaze on the inside (one TINY dot). I called about it anyhow, even though it really didn't matter. They did not want me to keep it and replaced it for me. I also have had 2 stones split down the middle: one my fault, the other was just old. The one that was my fault was because I broiled it (didn't realize that I couldn't do that until it was too late). They replaced it. The other stone had a crack down the middle for a couple years before it finally broke, but it was out of warranty by then so I just bought another. I dropped my chopper once and the plastic broke. They replaced it because it was in warranty. THey are really good and easy to deal with.

Hope you have a good experience! Just get the order number and information about the show (host name, maybe consultant name) and you shouldn't have a problem with the replacement. I don't know how they do order numbers or show numbers now, but that will likely be the most important part of the info that you need from the receipt. Also get the show date from the receipt (esp. if the host had the date different than the actual date you went to the party - sometimes they post date a show for order reasons).

  • Thanks, maramarie!  Huge help!  I'll let you know what happens, but it sounds like they will be understanding.  I just got the stone on Friday and had it for 2 days... it was the first time I used it:(

    Thanks again:)
