we took the multiples classes in our area and both me and DH are glad we did...we also are taking the regular child birth classes offered at the hospital now...they aren't as informative...but being first time parents I'd rather the repetitive/extra info...
I think that a multiples class would have been good. I took a normal childbirth prep class at the hospital I delivered at.. and most of it didn't really apply to me, although the instructor was very nice and stayed after each time to answer my twin-specific questions. I was glad I went but in the end didn't really use any of the information I learned since I was on bedrest and had my delivery in the OR (couldn't do the labor positions, etc)

Nope, we didn't bother. For as long as I was PG, I knew the babies weren't coming out on their own-- one of those gut feelings, kwim? H asked if I was interested and I told him the same thing I told my OB when we scheduled my section, "They aren't coming out until you take them out." Sure enough, 37w1d c/s.... never dilated, no effacement nothing.
We actually took 10 weeks of Bradley classes with an instructor who was very knowledgeable about twins. ?While I didn't end up using most of the birthing stuff, it was an awesome class. ?DH felt really empowered and involved. ?We had one evening of false labor, but otherwise, I had breech babies and by 37 weeks had not gone into labor on my own. ?I had a schedule c/s. ?But we don't regret the class, the time, or the money spent.
