Why would we get anything? We're not mothers yet...(those of us who are on our 1st). DH mentioned getting me something but I told him No, it would take away from the 1st Mothers Day that I actually AM a mother. Just because you're carrying a child does not make you a Mother...yet. Wait your turn. It'll be worth it next year. IMO.

No, I don't expect something. I think he'll do something b/c he's so sweet, but if he didn't I wouldn't mind either.

I certainly wouldn't mind the thought if he happens to remember, though I certainly don't expect it...he's not exactly the most thoughtful person I know. I do plan to get him something for Father's Day. I am not going to say anything to him, because if he does anything I want it to be his idea, not mine.

I never expect a gift from my hubby, it's nice if I do get one, but I never expect one!! Why should he be obligated to buy me a gift for "carrying his child" as a pp stated?? Ummm, the last time I checked it was MY child too!!!

i'm going along with the "i'd like a gift, but not necessary". he's sweet enough as it is (even more, since he got me all knocked up, :-p), i know he'll at least make me a nice dinner. something easy, like spaghetti with meat sauce or something, bahaha.

but i'll definitely get him something small for father's day. maybe breakfast in bed and a TimCard or something. :-)

something nice and appreciated, but not necessarily a "gift". :-)

Well, let's put it this way, I was raised around people who gave Mother's Day gifts to women who were pregnant, so I'm assuming everyone thinks that way, but I'm not at all going to be upset or anything if I don't get anything. As for my DH, I don't think he would even remember, so I'll just have to drop a couple hints to let him know that I technicaly qualify as a mother now and tell him the perfect thing he could do for me would be a foot and back massage! Oh that sounds so nice!

I just bought our moms' gifts and didn't even think about myself (somehow I haven't gotten to the point of considering myself a mother yet)...maybe I should start thinking about it and dropping hints...;)
