Although I don't agree with her views, I believe she answered the question fairly.  What was she supposed to do?  Lie about how she really feels?

I respect Miss CA for giving the answer she truly felt and not what she thought everyone would want to hear (for the record- i am pro gay marriage- but i respect other's views on the subject).

I think it was a bogus question- fishing for the "right" answer.... and I can't believe that Perez, someone who insults people for a living- would have anything to complain about.

well, I just looked up the youtube clip of the question and of perez response on msnbc.... perez is overreacting a bit... Miss California is a moron.  not necessarily b/c of her views, although I disagree with her... but did you hear her answer??? not articulate... and inaccurate.  bad answer overall.

Ditto Halo79RN - Perez completely over-reacted, but I don't think it was just her opposing gay marriage that made her sound like an idiot, it was how she said it - and she kind of contradicted herself in her attempt.

and although I don't agree with her, I think about half of the country does, so her answer shouldn't lose her the crown.  Now, I haven't seen her answer, only read the text, so perhaps the way she answered it was enough to disqualify her (meaning if she was fumbling all over herself)

I think she answered from her heart and she is entitled to her own opinion. Perez needs to chill out and realize that not everyone is pro-gay marriage. I give her a lot of credit for standing her ground on national television. I think she answered very eloquently.?
