I haven't received any warnings against it. What I found online is that you may want to avoid homemade mayo since there may be a higher risk for food poisoning; and obviously the same common sense applies with items that aren't refrigerated for a period of time. But if you can stomach mayo, I don't see why not....

Google- mayonnaise safe while pregnant. ?You only will see responses saying that it is not safe. ?I couldn't remember if I ate it during my last pregnancy but I thought I may not have. ?Same with Ceaser and ranch dressing. ?
I have never heard you cant eat mayo.. i dont like it but my mom recently shared some info with me. when she was pregnant with me she ate a jar a week.. with a spoon (barf).. maybe that's why i dont like it.
if it was REALLY made with raw eggs, do you think they would let it sit out on the shelves for months at a time? imagine how stink the condiment aisle would be.
::points to siggy:: he is the product of a lot of wendy's spicy chicken sandwiches with mayo. i'd be eating a shiitload of mayo if i were you.
I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure store bought regular mayo is not made with raw eggs. Homemade mayo is. Just like homemade caesar dressing is made with raw eggs and sardines... but normal caesar dressing at the grocery store is now.
Stay away from the weird "organic" crap and you'll be fine.

So no I am not joking.
Homemade mayo and ceasar dressing is made with raw eggs so they say not to eat it. Mayo from the grocery store is fine. I must say that I have eaten homemade ceasar dressing after my 1st tri though.
The only time the ceaser/mayo issue should be addressed is if it is home made. Most stuff you buy at the supermarket is safe. If it wasn't they wouldn't leave it out on the shelf unrefridgerated.

Canned tuna, meat, veggies, etc, etc, etc is on the shelf in the grocery store too. why? b/c its canned (jarred is the same). Why don't you google food preservation while you're at it.

Haha -- I'm on the phone with my friend and I read this to her because I know she absolutely hates mayo, and she started gagging!

I've been eating mayo and turkey lunch meat. My doc thinks the whole lunch meat thing is a crock but suggested not to eat ham since it's high in salt content.
