I have the asskickin' hotel style one from Bed Bath & Beyond (the kind you see at brunches). I think it was about $80, so if you don't want to spend a lot, this is not the one for you.
I love it. The recipes that come with it make 12-15 waffles. I make a whole batch and freeze most of them.

We have this Cuisinart one. We have used it every weekend for the last two years and it hasn't broken yet! I make waffles every weekend and we freeze them for use during the week....
We have the same one as Annapolis. I love it. It's a bit hard to clean but all waffle makers are (in my opinion). Last I checked Sams Club had it, I'm not sure what the price was though.

We have two villaware waffle irons and they are really well made.
