Birth at Beth Israel Post-Renovations?

Has anyone given birth at Beth Israel after the recent (2008 I think) renovations to the recovery ward?  I can't tell if some of the negative press out there (i.e. scary people on urbanbaby) is due to the condition of the place before the overhaul or if it is actually bad for other reasons.

I had my baby there...march 29 2008. I think the renovations had just finished. I didn't have any complaints. Everyone was nice
