I guess I'm just trying to figure out what the point was on this post then...it's a list we all do from time to time, whether we SAH or WOH.  So.....????

So is this just a "moms" list then?  If so, I have to wonder what is wrong with your husbands that render them either unable or not willing to do some of these basic functions of daily life. 

Or, is it a "wow!  Look at everything I have to do - I am SO important!" kind of list?  And if it is, then I question how fulfilling your life really is (whether working outside the home, or not).

I will surely get flamed for this, but I am going to say it anyway.  I stayed at home with my DS for the first year.  I work full time now and, as everyone already said, also do everything on your list.  I have to say staying at home was soooo much easier.  You all want credit for getting to stay home with a baby, which you created.  I know it's not fun all the time, but imagine shoving all that stuff on your list into a couple hours after working a full day.  Just count your lucky stars that you get to stay home with your baby and shop in the middle of the day when the store is less crowded.  Also, why do you put taking your DC to childcare as one of your responsibilities.  Aren't you all SAHM's?

For crying out loud, this thread got way out of hand.  Anyone who pays attention on this board knows I'm the first one (with drunkenwife as a close second) to point out how easy it is to be a SAHM, and how the whole "its so important" is a load of crap.

But this list obviously wasn't a list of all the wonderful and hard jobs a sahm does.  It was just a simple list about daily/weekly/monthly tasks involved with running a house.  This board is usually pretty slow and MrsShavers is about the only one here who really makes an effort to keep it moving.

It was not a sahm/wohm debate at all.  If anyone wants to start that, then I'm always glad to jump in.  But this wasn't the thread.

This!  I wish they would bother to ever read the post.  For crying out loud, Mrs.Shavers had to repeat herself three times, one time in caps.  Honestly, it's not that tough to get, ladies!  LOL  They're just trying to stir up the tired SAHM/WOHM debate.  Lame!

Ditto what MegGary said.  I don't belittle anything about being a SAHM (I wish I could be one) but this is just ridiculous.  I'm sorry if you feel you need to justify yourself as a SAHM by making lists like this, but it doesn't do anything to make your case.  I am also responsible for everything on your list while also working a full-time job, does that make me better than you?  My answer is no...just as you are no better than me.  Being with your kids is all the justification you need.
