Bleeding at 7w?

    Bad sign, but if not bright red could still be ok. Not much anyone can do but wait.

    Fairly common to spot early on. Heavy bleeding would be worrisome. I spotted when I was pg with Luc.

    Has she talked to her doc/gone to the ER?

    It's pretty common. Usually it's nothing but have her call ob just to be sure.

    I had bleeding with DS1 at 7w.  It turned out to be lord knows what.  I had spotting with DS2 before I got the BFP - I thought it was AF.

    Ditto pp's.I had spotting/bleeding with both of my pregnancies. Sometimes even bright red. It's so, so scary but doesn't necessarily mean bad news. I hope everything works out for your friend!

    i'm the spotting friend... glad to read so many replies that this could be nothing. its been a rough couple days not freaking out and keeping my mind off it. I will feel much better (I hope) after my appointment tomorrow. I am scheduled for bloodwork, an exam and an ultrasound, so hoping for the best. Will update you tomorrow.
