I didn't mean to hijack the last post. We spent 12 days in the NICU with a 35w baby. Dash has a level 2-3 IVH. He was hypoglycemic and had a gavage. He was on a ventilator, a c-pap, a nasual cannula, and then room oxygen. He has a heart murmur.
He was LGA so he doesn't qualify for medicaid. He's home on an apnea monitor and anti-seizure meds.
And he's thriving.
And if I didn't have y'all to come to with every little thing that worried me about this kid, I'd go batshiit crazy.
We are all survivors. And I adore each of you, all your stories, all your kids.
Thank you.
Re: y'all are awesome, part 2
Ha ha! I agree 110%. I love this place and am feel so welcome even though I too had a big old preemie (8lbs, 36 weeks). No one here judges any one and is full of support and advice. You are all such great mommies, friends and people!
I had my little bro over last night for dinner bc my parents are out of town and he is still in HS. I was on the bump and explained a little about it when he asked what I was doing. He said, why would you want to go there and read all of those stories anyway? My response, "because I love all of the ladies on here. It is the one place I can go where everyone understands what I went through with Ryan and I feel great when I can give advice to someone who is going through it now." I really do love this board!
