Last night, we put Katie in our bed at 11 because she was whining and couldn't seem to relax. She was up all night. We tried holding her in bed, walking around with her, rocking her and just giving her some toys.
She really wanted to sleep. She had her eyes closed almost the entire night. We even gave her half a bottle, which she never needs, and then she slept for 20 minutes and was awake again.
She seemed really uncomfortable and unable to relax. She didn't have a fever, I tried rubbing her belly/back, she did have a bm and it was normal. Any suggestions as to what was wrong with her?
She ended up sleeping from 7-8 this morning.

Re: Has your DC ever done this?
Yes, it is frustrating. We are never sure what is wrong with Tyler when he does this. We usually do everything humanly possible to try to get him back to sleep (usually rocking him in the car seat). We also give him Tylenol if we think there is any possibility he might be teething. In Tyler's case, I often wonder if he is a little constipated and his a tummy ache, but I don't know.
Good luck. I don't have too much advice for you, but I can understand.
Did you try giving her Tylenol? Is she teething? I know if my girls are having trouble sleeping and nothing else seems to be working I try Tylenol, which normally helps.
I hope tonight goes much better!
