When did your LO start smiling?  DS has lots of smiles when he's gassy, but I can't wait for the "real smiles" to start!!!

It should be around 6 weeks, could be later if your child was premature.  There's nothing so endearing as seeing your LO smile at you!!

we had a couple between 3-4 weeks. VERY rare and VERY brief, though. I did manage to get a picture of one, sortof, thank god.

But yeah, 6w is closer to normal, and DS was smiling a lot more by 6w.

5 weeks was our first and then between 6 -8 weeks it was much more consistent.

4 1/2 weeks was the first one... and then by 6 weeks it was constant. I swear this is why everything seems so much better at 6 weeks.
