HCG Injections

Has any one ever taken these and they didn't work?  

 I'm wondering if mine worked last month.  I took the ovidrel injection on cd 7 and just went in for cd 2 blood work and us and had either left over follicles or cycst.   If they are left over I'm wondering if this is another med that doesn't work for me.

Do you O on your own at all? CD 7 seems really early to me to do the trigger shot, I can't see that the follies could have matured to the point they would be ready to trigger.  Were you medicated on this last cycle?  The only thing I can think of is that on CD7 when you did the trigger shot, the follies weren't ready and therefore didn't release and now you've got leftover follies.  I'm sure someone here has a better explanation, but that's what I would think.

Unmedicated I do O on my own as far as they can tell from Blood work and us and charting.  Unmedicated i usually o cd10-12 the max 14.  On cd 7 I already had 3 follicles that where between 18 and 20 that what they had me do the injections.

You should be insisting on a P4 test 7 days past ovulation.  Your hormones and everything are all off norm and they are treating you like a normal cycle.  There's something strange going on that you need to get figured out.  Are your luteal phases 12-16 days long after ovulation?  I'm just wondering what the heck your RE is thinking when the E2 is high on CD3 that he's assuming its mature follicles.  It's about 200mm per mature follie and your 2 this cycle are mature but you have less than 200 E2...something else is going on.  I hope you figure it out!
