Success after IF

If you had an unsuccessful IVF cycle...

What differences did you notice between the failed and successful cycles?  Did you feel the same post transfer up until testing?  Or were there differences?

I know I am just going crazy over here... I've been having cramps most of the day today (2dp5dt) which I had with IVF#1 too (BFP).  Of course I want to be positive about it but also think I could be having these cramps and still not be pregnant.  So of course I want to hear from others...

What causes cramps at about this time anyway???

Sorry for my craziness during this waiting period...

Re: If you had an unsuccessful IVF cycle...

  • My failed IVF and successful 2ww were completely different.  I bled in the failed one (got AF before my beta, actually) and felt pretty normal the whole time.  But in my successful one I had pretty significant cramps starting at 2dp5dt...

    Good luck!

Ohhhh....now you've got me thinking positive again!  I am so afraid to be overly optimistic though!

    Thanks!

  • The only thing that was different between my bfn IVF and bfp FET 2ww was how I felt HORRIBLE starting at around 4dp5dt.  I was nauseous, pale, sweaty...I tried attributing it to the estrace (since I didn't have those symptoms from PIO the first time around) but I had been on estrace for weeks already so it probably wasn't that.

But who knows, it could have been coincidental.

    Good luck!

  • For me, I had no real differences. I didn't have any symptoms in any of my cycles, BFP or otherwise. Waiting was pure he#$#$, so I totally get where you are coming from. GL GL GL I hope this is it!
  • As far as how I felt after transfer, I basically felt the same after both IVF's with the exception of one small bout (~3 hours off and on) of pinching that I felt very low in my abdomen one afternoon) I had cramping off and on all throughout both 2ww, I think mostly due to the P4.

No need to apologize, anyone who has done an IVF has lost their mind a little bit during the 2 ww ; )

    Good luck!!!
