We find out for sure on monday if it's a boy but we are nearly positive
it is. Anyway, I'm keeping a list of boy names that I like. From the
list you will see that we are clearly going for unusual (but not made
up) names. I would love anyone's opinion on these!
Keep in mind that my first child is named Maeve (rhymes with Rave) and her name is a classic Irish name.
Arthur (Irish name)
Tadhg (pronounced like Tiger without the er - a relatively common Irish name)
Linus
Bram (but baby's last name will start with M and I have a problem with B.M. as initials)
Bremen (same problem as above)
Calvin
Wesley (might be too popular for us)
Jude (DH's name - I'm not a fan of naming kids after parents but I really like this name)
Alfred (family name which I love)
Thanks!
Re: Boy names are so hard for me...
Arthur- love it
Tadhg- too hard for most people to get unless they're Irish
Linus- ok
Bram- don't like. Makes me think of bran cereal.
Bremen- don't like
Calvin- ok
Wesley- love it
Jude- love it, but I don't think it goes very well with Maeve.
Alfred- just seems too old (and I was okay with Arthur!)
Arthur - eh. NMS, but don't hate it.
Tadhg - I would never use this out of Ireland b/c there's not a chance in hell that someone who isn't Irish is going to pronounce/spell this correctly
Linus - love
Bram - NMS
Bremen - NMS
Calvin - love - it was on our boy list
Wesley - like
Jude - love, but I'm not a fan of juniors
Alfred (family name which I love) - same as Arthur
Tadhg- awful?
Linus- snoopy comes to mind, horrible
Bram- horrible
Bremen- horrible
Calvin- nice
Wesley- nice
Jude- nice
Alfred- no
Arthur - nn Art? NMS..too King Arthur for me.
Tadhg - wtf? Sounds way made up and will be impossible to pronounce and difficult to spell
Linus - I like it okay
Bram - Sounds made up, what about Graham?
Bremen - sounds made up
Calvin - and Hobbes?
Wesley - It's okay
Jude - Love this name
Alfred - Too old man-ish
