getting frustrated with coming up with a name!

DH has vetoed basically every name I've come up with. We have a daughter Makenna already.

 Well Maya and Marissa are out (Makenna has cousins Lilly and Lucy, and DH hates all the same letter first names in families), which I love the name Maya, and didn't pick it because of the M in it!

So then we kind of agreed on Rachel Emma, until someone reminded me that both names are from Friends, and i'm not that crazy about Rachel anyway.

 The names he's come up with are: Jocelyn and Arianne ( i don't like either ).

We finally agreed on Emberly, but everyone says everyone will call her Kimberly and she'll have to constantly correct them, or that it sounds made up (we found it in a name book, it means bouncy and enthusiastic). 

 So I know we need to just quit asking opinions and find a name, but it's not going so well...

 anyone else frustrated ?

 

And the middle name has to be Emma (family name).. so I'm not sure that Emerly Emma works all that well either, and Emma is waaaaaay to common to my chosing for me to put it as a first name.

What about Ellis or Alice Emma? Both of those sound nice. Based on names you've mentioned, nymbler suggests Sarina, Lauren, and Danielle. I think names that don't end with an '-ah' sound the best with Emma as a middle, but it's not that big of a deal.

Actually I've never known a Sarina, but I looked up the meaning and it says it's "princess, one who laughs" and it's Hebrew. Very pretty

It can be quite frustrating! When we found out we were pg we quickly came up with a girl's name but boy's name...NOTHING. I came up with a page of boy's name and DH hated them all.

I'm sorry I can't help, but I can relate.  My DH and I don't agree on too many names.  He loves Heather for a girl and I hate it.  I like, Mary, Sarah, and Ella he hates them.  We just can't agree.

DH and I cannot agree on girls' names either.  We came up with 2 boys names right away, but cannot seem to think of even one name we agree upon.

 

What about Evangeline Emma, Ashleigh Emma, Addison Emma...?

I like Rachel Emma. Who cares if it's two names from Friends? I wouldn't have even noticed that unless you pointed it out. Your child's classmates won't know that either. Rachel is a classic, timeless name that is not overused. I say go for that name.?

thanks, I never even noticed the whole friends thing until someone at my work pointed it out.. But i mean really, like the kids in my daughters class are even going to watch Friends by the time she's in school, to even know that!
