KGsky - LOL. I hate missing any kisses, but I agree, it's a bit odd.
I think DD gave me an actual kiss a few weeks ago, that's the way it sounded, but mostly she blows raspberries for kisses. We do a combo to encourage the affection, in whatever form it may come.

DD started out with wet sloppy kisses (and still gives them occasionally) - but she does a puckered closed mouth kiss with the "mwwah" sound and everything - started about 9 months. I love it so much - she has also started giving hugs within the last month
My LO will jam his tongue in my mouth if I am not careful when I kiss him. He'll also grab me by the ears/hair and jsut tongue my face like a date from he11. Its funny.....at first is right. Lately he has been kissing my cheek which turns into sucking on it and latching on- have to admit it is kind of cute, except when he does it on my chin and then bites with his razor sharp baby teeth.
Re: When do they learn how to actually pucker their lips & kiss back?
Holy smokes, I just laughed out loud at this. Awesome sentence.

I get the head butts now. Would love a nice wet one.
I think I kiss my DD too much and she is head butting to get even with me.
I tell Lucy all the time "thanks for making out with me today" because thats how she rolls.
she has also started sucking on my bottom lip. If I am not quick, she goes to kiss me and latches on my bottom lip.
