Re: NGPR: Anyone really good with wine pairings?

  • I fail at wine

  • I think Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with both Chicken and Beef

Also, Chianti is a good red, as long as it's government DOC certified in Italy (which means it has a pink or gree certified label around the top)

  • IMHO: The Shiraz is a good compromise or the Cab. I would skip the Chianti because of the pairing of meats. I think Merlots are do different but may go well (although I can't help think if Sideways!)

As far as white, I think a riesling wouldn't go. I think Pinot Grigio goes so well with chicken and the sage I think that will really pop. ?That would be my choice.?

I'm a big foodie and wino, so I hope this helps. It sounds wonderful. Are you going to post it on the recipe blog? ::hopes it gets posted on the blog::?

Thanks! I was leaning toward the Pinot Grigio, but wanted options. I am a foodie, not so much with the wines though. Although after staying on a vineyard for a week I should be more into some, but haven't found many I really LOVE! Yes I can post on the recipe blog soon just for you!

  • The Shiraz or Pinot would be good choices, but I'm not sure about the brand of Pinot Grigio. I've noticed Pinot Grigio can be really good or really bad depending on the maker.

    I really miss wine Sad
