Wow.  I can't imagine the stress and anxiety that her pregnancy surely caused her.  I am glad they are all ok.  Did you notice the comments below the article?  There were so many posters who have the same condition as the mom has.  I had no idea that would be as common as it appears to be.

I actually have 2 uteruses (uteri?) also.  So I guess they are saying being pregnant twice is what's rare because having 2 uteri isn't THAT uncommon.  I don't think it would be too much harder on her than a normal twin pregnancy other than she would likely have to have a c-section.
