I have a 2 month old who doesn't seem to want to nap. I'm trying to establish at least a morning and afternoon nap - around 11am/12pm and around 3pm/4pm.
How often does your child nap? What is his/her usual nap time?
What do you do to help your baby go to sleep at nap time? I've been using a swing with some success and also just try rocking the baby.
Unfortunately, the only time my daughter seems to go to sleep is right after nursing but I'm worried about having her develop a habit of using me as a pacifier. Also, the ped told me I should develop a cycle of eat, play, then sleep, but right now, she eats, sleeps, then plays....
Thanks!
Re: naps?
Thanks. It used to be very easy to have her nap when she was younger but now that she's more alert and interested in the world around her, she doesn't want to nap. I've tried to limit distractions for her, but she doesn't seem able to sleep even when I can tell she's tired.
She takes catnaps in my arms after nursing although I try to keep her awake since I keep her upright for 15 minutes to limit spitting up, but then she won't want to nap afterward.
