Best place to find nannies in NYC

Other than recommendations from some friends, do you have any other recommendations of where I can find available nannies in Manhattan?

    Try the Irish Echo paper (also online, I think it's irishecho.com.. or you can google it).  I know a few people who have found excellent nannies through the Irish Echo.  I found mine on Craig's List, but you've really gotta sift through some scary postings to find anyone legit.  I just happened to really luck out.  GOOD LUCK!!!

    I would go to the playground and ask mom's.  Many working mothers lost their jobs recently and had to let go of their nanny's so i'm sure there are many of them are in the park and if you strike up a conversation they can give you a referral to someone (if not their old nanny)
