Both of mine refused to keep them on past one year, maybe sooner actually. ?It's just not worth the hassle for me. ?If we're having something really messy, like spaghetti, then I'll take their shirts off and let them eat with just their undershirts on.
DS stopped wearing one around 16 months for mealtime. But when he has spaghetti, we put on an old shirt of his that we don't care if it gets messed up...which it always does.
DS rarely ever wore a bib, and he doesn't really like them. At home he may wear one once in a great while, but it's easier to just take his shirt off if we have something messy. If we are going to be out I will usually throw one in the bag, but I only put in on him about 50% of the time.
Re: What age do kids stop wearing bibs?
In general? Jake stopped when he stopped spitting up/drooling all the time (8-9months)
For eating- when he stopped being really messy. (14mon)
lol I still put one on B for meals. Not even sure why. If I forget she asks for it. She hates being messy as much as I hate seeing it.
