i have told a few friends and family members, so i am sure the news has already spread like wildfire that i am pregnant. but i am curious, when is the "appropriate" time to make this wide-spread news? we just went off birth control recently to start talking about having kids, and bam! i'm preggo! so i guess what i am asking is, when can i feel free to tell anyone and everyone without worry that it is considered too soon? after the ultrasound this week? after hearing the heartbeat?
this is our first, so i am kind of new to this...and very excited!
Re: when do i tell?
Do people really think there is some law or rule about this shiit? Tell when you feel like it. Makes no difference to any of us or anyone else.
And you're not preggo, you're pregnant.
This, in accordance with the prophecy.?
...if I had a nickel...
Quick put your vag up against the screen and Blair will tell you if you're having a boy or a girl.
dude, just laugh. ?It's meant to be funny. ?If you can hang, we'd love for you to stay.?
this.
oh i'm laughing - at how even though i thought i had read quite a few posts before asking, i obviously should have waited. i'm always the sarcastic one in the group, so i guess this is very, very well-deserved. i knew something was wrong when i read "uh-oh" as the very first response.
i'll just hold off before i ask any other questions for a while - or just read a little bit more first...
Telling is a personal decision. So it is really when u feel comfortable, alot of people like to wait till 2nd tri. I told my family and 2 close friends right away, i think I will hold out until I start showing. Dont let people being snarky bother u, its just how it is here. Dont take it personally.
You seem very smart & fun. ?Methinks you will catch on quickly & enjoy yourself on here
?
Just FYI for future, this type of post falls under the "we don't know and can't tell you" category. There are a few like that ("Am I Pregnant?" being the biggest culprit!).
It's totally fine to ask other ladies what they have done, but as far as what YOU should do, that's really a personal decision. We don't know you IRL so it's hard to say!
Generally speaking, the risk of miscarriage decreases after you hear a heartbeat, and even more after the 1st trimester. But whether you want to tell if it's still "risky" is up to you.
