I remember reading a post on here a few weeks ago about how someone finally went to the bathroom. ?I've tried coffee, fiber, grapes, and nothing. ?I'm getting?desperate?here. ?Anyone have any good advice for what helps?
I second the suggestions above but to keep things going on more of a regular basis I take take Metimucil tablets daily and have at least one FiberOne bar a day. Things get bad if I skip those!
Start drinking a small cup of prune juice every morning. I was having the worst constipation and that is what the doctor told me to do and it has worked great. I took it as soon as i got got home that day bc i needed to go and it worked in like 15 minutes.
As a person who is always constipated, the one thing that works miracles for me is EXERCISE. The prune juice, fiber one, etc. only softens the excrement--you gotta wiggle it out! (Sorry, I know that's gross). Seriously, try to exercise, even walk, for 30 minutes a day and I PROMISE you will see a huge difference in the way you feel!
Water and fruits/veggies are definitely the way to go. It doesn't work instantly but when they do you don't have to dread droppin the kids off at the pool
