  • I've had this happen a few times, but it's usually right before AF. How do you know it's not ovulation spotting? If it doesn't last more than a day, I wouldn't worry about it. Also, are you charting? If so, is your temp dropping when it happens? If so, you might want to have your progesterone tested.

  • Last cycle I had spotting on the day that I ovulated, a week after, a couple days after that, a couple days after that, and a couple days before AF!  I am having my progesterone tested in March.

  • There are a few things I can think of. If you've had sex recently it could be your cervix that's bleeding for minor irritation. Or, you could have had a cyst that burst. Usually it's harmless but you could mention it to your doctor just in case. Sometimes it could be something else. You could get an ultrasound to rule out any problems. Good luck!!

I do chart (see siggy).  I have had spotting problems after ovulation for a few cycles.  I had my progesterone tested last cycle and it was at 26.  I don't think it is ovulation spotting because it isn't going away and is getting heavier.

I was thinking it may be a cyst that burst.  I had a pressure/pain in my lower left pelvis area 2 days ago, and that obviously wasn't ovulation pain since I have not yet ovulated.  Have you had cysts?
