3rd Trimester
I'm in labor!
DH and I went out for spicy Mexican food last night and reset the clock. I was crampy all night long and started having noticeable contractions around 4:00 this morning. I started tracking them, and they ranged anywhere from 6 to 10 minutes apart. I had my 41 week appointment scheduled for 11 this morning, so I went. The doctor confirmed that I am 4 cm. and 90% effaced. She stretched my cervix and stripped my membranes and confirmed that I'm in labor. She expects I'll have the baby today or tomorrow.
So far the contractions are just uncomfortable - not painful. I'm very crampy from the internal exam. I'm going to try to get some rest while I can, and my doula will be coming over later on today.
