I fell down...HARD

Yesterday around 4 I picked up my DD from daycare, ofcoarse I'm stubborn and hard-headed and told my husband to stay in the car and I'd get her. Carrying her out to the car I tripped on a 1 inch ledge and tried so hard not to fall but I still went over. My hands were occupied with my DD so I fell directly on my left knee, then right knee. And finally forward. I smashed my poor little girl but I think it protected my belly. My knee hurts but I can't walk due to pelvic pain. Like a muscle was pulled or I threw my hip out with the fall to my knee. Would you go in for not being able to walk? The babies are VERY active and I've had the normal small cramps. Thanks for your input I hope this goes away, since I can't wait or turn form side to side in bed without crying!

  • Definitely call the doctor - that is what they are there for and you want to get yourself feeling better a.s.a.p.!  Your LOs are probably fine, but you need to take care you of YOU too =)

    I hope you feel better!

  • You poor thing. :(  I would agree with the PPs. Never hurts to let your doctor know what happened and see if he/she wants you to come in.

  • I called my OB but he was delivering a baby so will call back. They said he might want me to go and be monitored but honestly the office is 1 hour away and I don't know if I can handle that in a car. So I think I might ask if I can be monitored at the hospital 1 mile from me. But we will see, the babies have been going bonkers today so that is nice to feel! Thank you for your concerns and input!

  • I think it'd be worth it to get checked out at your local hospital. They can always update your OB.

I agree.  I slipped and fell on ice outside my building at 20 something weeks.  Good to go in and get a scan to make sure.

  • Well doc thought since the babies are moving, which they have been going crazy today, I should just stay home and rest. Keep my feet up and hope it heals itself soon. I go in on tuesday so I guess we'll see what I'm feeling like then. It's just really hard to explain to a 2 year mommy can't walk. Then she responds with mommy fall on me. :( Atleast she wasn't hurt! Thanks everyone!
