Contraction question.. advice please

my SO is leaving for work in ten minutes and i am nervous for him to go.. last night my contractions were 5 min apart consistently for over an hour..i decided to go to bed and see what happened.. well i kept contracting but nothing too crazy..

this morning they had slowed down to 10 min apart.. we reset the clock in hopes it would get things going.. and YA they are going again hard..

when i got up i went pee and a ton of mucus came now..  now im just leaking mucus i think..

contractions are about 6-8 min apart and i have to breathe through them.. should i let him go to work or should i go in!?!

yes go and ill tell you why. I went through that and woke up fridaynight/sat morning thinking i would have her in my bed. then they stopped 3 hours later and hardly nothing. exhubs and i went and power walked the mall 2 fast laps and i went to the hospital to get checked out thinking they wouldnt keep me, hahaha...i was dialated to 3 1/2 and had her the next morning. GO!

I waited till I was 3 minutes apart.  Does he work far away?

how far away is his work? can he get home or to the hospt quickly if he needs to?

I would let him go. You *might* go tonight, but not in the next few hours, I don't think.

about twenty minutes to get home an another fifteen to get to the hospital.

How far away does he work? Can he call and warn work that he might have to leave at a moments notice?

Are you also having cramps or back pain?  I would let him go, but tell him he is "on call".

If you don't want to leave for L&D right now than at least have him call into work because I am sure you will need to go into L&D very soon!

Ya extreme back pain.. when the contractions hit.. but im trying to decide if this is connected to the resetting of the clock or not..

Ditto. Are you drinking lots of water?? With DS, DH had to to work and I waited to go to the hospital until I couldnt handle the pain anymore. When I arrived I was 7 cm. Everything went fast and smoothly and beat the hell out of laying in the hospital bed for hours.

Thanks ladies!! im going to go take a shower and do a couple things.. keep timing and see how things go.. i told him to be ready to come home and to tell them the second he got there that he may be leaving!! i hope..
