For those of you who did adoption fundraisers - i was thinking of selling something (ie, through the Current fundraising catalogue type deal, or on cafe press) for people that wanted to support us. How did you publicize your fundraiser without appearing to be grabbing for money/attention/support?
I'm probably going to start a blog when our HS is done and might put a link there. But, given the issues with our ILs, I'm not sure I'd want to make it public. I'm afraid that if it's for "invited members only" to read, that that link would look like a blatant gift grab. Though wondering if I obscured our identities enough, did not post details or photos, and did not tell our ILs about the adoption till after the fact, we'd be "safe" - I really appreciate the adoption blogs that walk you through the process and would hope to help/inspire another family.
Waiting for the SW to call back to set up our first homestudy appointment!!! So excited. Which, I think will explain why this post is brain vomit.
