Hi!

He actually started me at 7.5mg daily which I also thought was high right off the bat. Like clomid there's a low-med-high dose of femara (2.5, 5, and 7.5mg). On clomid he started me in the middle at 100mg so when we switched to femara I expected 5mg but he did the 7.5mg. Maybe because I didn't respond well to the clomid? I actually never even asked. And EACH cycle on femara I responded well with 3 follies ranging b/w 15-21mm at trigger (and no side effects!) so I was very pleased with it.

How did you respond to the 2.5mg? Depending what your follicle response was you could always inquire how he felt about 5mg (or even 7.5) next but I hope there is no next time!!. Good luck!!

i had one large follie at 18x20 on CD 14.  i asked that day if we would do the same dose next time and she said she would probably keep me at the same dose if we're not successful this time.  i was hoping to see at least 2 large follies so i might see if she's willing to increase my dose to 5mg?

i hope there isn't a next time, either  but we'll see....

I hope so for you too! One follie at 19 is great. On clomid I had one at 18mm the first cycle and none the second so we did the switch to femara. Good luck with your poas soon
