However, now it's 27 and raining.  ??????  Everything now has a nice sheet of ice over it.  The dogs won't even go outside.

Yikes. Tell your husband to drive home carefully. Don't think your city has a lot of plows and salt trucks, do they?

We've had to put a puppy pad down in the garage for Winnie. She won't go outside because it's 3 below. Pshhht. Like it's hard or something.

They did the brine and salt thing last night.  The plows don't do well on ice.  I think they made a sweep this morning with the snow, but the neighborhoods and side streets don't stand a chance.

The ice is the worst. We had a terrible ice storm a few years ago. It broke branches off trees onto power lines and we were without power for a week. It sucked.
