Success after IF

I'm crushed

I go back to work tomorrow and I am so sad.  I wish I could stay home with DSCrying  Any moms that have gone back to work have any advice on how to make it through the first day without crying at work?

  • Allow yourself to be upset.  Get everything ready tonight so you have more time to say bye in the morning.  Take some photos.  The day will go quick.  I spent most of the first week, trying to stop  myself from running out the door because I missed them soo much.  Now it isn't as bad.  Saying bye is bad but coming home to giggles the second they see me is worth it all.  Good luck and it does suck.

  • I will not lie, it was hard and is still hard at times (I have been back for 2 months).  I bought a digital frame so I could see a ton of pictures of him each day and it really helped.  If I needed a moment, I would just sit there and stare and then get back to my work.  Everyone will have missed you and will be excited that you are back and so that is helpful too.  Just take it slow and I agree, if you are sad, be sad.  I almost cried a few times and went to the bathroom and just took a minute to myself.  Take care and let us know how it goes!
It took over four years to be diagnosed with PCOS. We TTC #1 for 18 months, did 5 rounds of Clomid and finally moved onto IVF...which worked! Throughout our IF journey, we suffered 3 miscarriages. We conceived both DD and DS without treatment.
